I’m flying solo this year. No family, or close friends readily available to celebrate the traditional holiday with me, I felt a bit depressed not to be able to be with someone special tonight. Then, I realized I wasn’t focusing on the right sentiment. I’m grateful for all I have. My life, the people I met along the way who’ve helped me become who I am, my wonderful cats, my beautiful car, and everything else that comes in between, writing, my love for marketing, my insatiable thirst for success, and so much more. I cannot complain about anything. Yes, I’m alone tonight, but deep inside, I feel whole and happy. I wouldn’t want things to be any different. I enjoy every moment. I’m lucky. When I think of the poor parents who lost their kids in Connecticut, or the troops abroad, the homeless, and sick people at the hospital, I’m glad to be healthy and have a roof above my head.
And to top it all off tonight especially, I finished a read you should all put on your to read shelf: Divergent Lives, by Minnie Lahongrais. This story truly made my Christmas Eve.
I wish you all a very merry Christmas. Much love to everyone. Life is short, make the best of it. 🙂
